““Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior,... teach what is good, and so train the young women … that the word of God may not be reviled.”
Titus 2:3-5
Women’s Ministries at North Shore Church exists to encourage women to worship and glorify our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, to equip them through the study and application of Scripture, and engage them by deepening their relationships with other women in fellowship and accountability.
We offer regular Bible studies, both inductive and book-led, using authors such as Jen Wilkin, Tim Keller, and Nancy Wolgemuth. Our book club gives women an opportunity to read, learn, and discuss meaningful Christian books together. Recent selections have included Respectable Sins by Jerry Bridges, The Gospel Comes with a House Key by Rosaria Butterfield, and Unpacking Forgiveness by Chris Brauns.
The Fall Women’s Retreat is designed to provide a time of spiritual refreshment, biblical teaching, worship, and fellowship. We have also incorporated teaching resources from the Revive Our Hearts ministry.
Our Mentoring activity encourages older and younger women to grow together through mentoring relationships based on the Titus 2 model. Each mentoring relationship begins with the book Growing Together by Melissa Kruger, providing a foundation for intentional discipleship and encouragement.
Through our mercy ministry, we also come alongside women who need extra care and support. This may include sending cards, visiting, praying together, and simply being present during seasons of difficulty
Our fellowship outings have happened in a variety of ways, but we most often schedule coffee dates in the community as well as hosting our Mugs & Muffins coffee and fellowship event at church, where women gather to hear a testimony and connect with one another more deeply.
